    i went to a-che twice when it first opened and thought the food was mediocre at best, so I decided to give it another try two weeks ago. i’ll write about that in my next newsletter, but here’s one observation re service.

    given that a-che has a somewhat intimate atmosphere at dinner, it was very annoying that the staff behind the bar continually flicked through movies, cartoons and videos on the big screen. movie… cartoon… movie… music video… cartoon… etc.

    my friend and i finished dinner and, rather than stay and have some drinks, as we planned, left instead.
