I know you're way too modest to do so, but I think that your name should be on the list. For anyone who wants to know what's going on, where to drink, and what's new in the city, your blog (and newsletter) has been the place to go for many, many years.

I would love to see this come to fruition. While I've been here a bit over 7 years, and been to dozens of (now defunct) bars, as well as legends who have stayed open through the years, I would love to see insight from the mighty few who have been here over a decade and know some of the movers and shakers a bit more personally.

I definitely would put votes in for Huxley, Chad Lager, Glenn Phelan, and some of the others you have listed. I look forward to your post on hall of fame venues! I think it would be a fantastic idea to commend the contributions of these heroes of the nightlife. Maybe even with merits like: innovation, style, tenacity, consistency, stay-power, etc.

Perhaps, also add to your categories: The massive events like Yen/Acupuncture/Great Wall/Aircraft Carrier parties, maybe DJ Electro clubs/Live Music venue owners, long running events/quizzes/hosts? Anyhow, awesome idea!

Hear! Hear! All hands on deck! Although I am fairly certain the title of first non-profit yacht club in Beijing goes to the Beijing Imperial Yacht Club (founded in 1995)
