Uncorked: Vinolia wine shop opens in Yintai Centre

Actress Yang Jin Hua (楊謹華) watches Nicolas Carre decant wine.

-

Vinolia wine shop opened in B1 of the Yintai Center last Friday with actress Yang Jin Hua (楊謹華) as the featured attraction. The shop includes a general retail area stocked mostly with French wines, but including some Australian and Chilean brands, with a few priced at ~RM150 but most quite a bit more. There is also a stand up wine bar, a private room, and a second storage area that holds some of the rarer items in the collection, including a set of Chateau Lafite from 1945 to the most recent vintage. (No price is listed for these wines: the manager says interested parties may contact Vinolia to discuss it.) During the afternoon, wine consultant Nicolas Carre demonstrated how to decant wine.
