Piccolo Lago in Pechino: From ‘dumplin’ to dessert at The River Club

The River Club should get plenty of attention from hardcore foodies given that two of the forces behind the place are Marco Sacco and Carlos Sacco of two Michelin star restaurant Piccolo Lago in Italy. The Chinese mover and shaker is Eric Wang while the GM is Simone Capello and the kitchen is headed by Andrea Tranchero. I sampled the menu with Capello and Philip Ostenton of Wine Culture a few weeks ago and on Monday will have a much-belated post on the dishes tried, a gallery of photos, and notes on the Michelin-star phenomenon. In the meantime, here are a few photos., and more information about this place is available at the The River Club homepage launched earlier this week.
