Home Plate Christmas Eve Barbecue

Christmas Eve: All-you-can gulp and guzzle charity event at Home Plate

I just got an email about a charity dinner at the new Home Plate Bar-B-Q in Sanlitun South on December 24. The meal costs rmb200, goes from 7 PM to 10 PM, and includes all-you-can-gulp pulled pork, chopped BBQ beef, potato salad, beans, cream corn, Bourbon bread pudding and more from Home Plate and all-you-can-guzzle Parker Estate Chardonnay and De Martino Cabernet Sauvignon from The Wine Republic as well as Tsingtao and soft drinks. Half of the revenue — rmb100 per person — will go to the charity Wuxun Foundation. Sounds like a good way to get into the Christmas spirit in Beijing.

An RSVP is essential. Make yours by December 21 by sending an email to lamarr_irby (at) hotmail.com.

  1. Hi Everyone,

Please note that this is not a Home Plate evening, it is a separately organized and planned event by a third party. If you would like to attend you absolutely must RSVP via email with your full name and names of all of your guests. In order to plan for the amount of food and beverages we need, we will be checking names. Also note, due to a large amount of interest, the donated wine may run out. Please don’t be mad, just drink beer instead ;-)
