Beers for Books: Here’s the school in Hebei we are supporting today

Beijing’s first Beers for Books is today at Brussels. The FAQ — including schedule and map link — is here. Below is a photo of the school in Hebei Province this event will support via The Library Project.

Tom Stader of TPL says the school has 8 teachers, 69 students, and covers kindergarten to grade 6. TLP will donate a Reading Room to this school, which Stader says will include “500 Chinese-language children’s books, two book shelves, six tables, 30 chairs, educational toys and a globe.” So far, The Library Project has set up 742 elementary school libraries with more 400,000 Chinese-language children’s books.
