California Grapes wine shop is now open in Sanlitun Soho on the B1 level. Frank Yglesias (photo below), the rep for California Grapes International, the company behind the shop, says it will operate daily from 11 AM to 10 PM. Bottles start at rmb65 and the lineup includes dozens of white and red wines, sparkling options Weibel and Tattinger, and a California sake by the name of Rock.
Note: If you are on the north side of Sanlitun Soho, take the outdoor escalators down to B1, then go down the first alley on the right.

Good price, great quality! Didn’t expect the wine to be so good… and they have a very nice atmosphere inside too, very relaxed. Well worth trying.
Was looking forward to buying some wine here today but it looked deserted and doors were locked up on Friday afternoon today 3/15/2013. No sign on what happened either. Looks like it’s still a tough putt to buy California wine in Beijing.
