Been tied up for most of the week, but here are a few sips and bites….
Fans of the burger at Union Bar & Grille will soon see some double-patty power on the menu, says Andy Bright. He also says Taiwan-style popcorn chicken will be added. He handed out samples around the bar last week: this stuff is going to be excellent with a few happy hour beers.
While the new Switch! in Shunyi is slated to officially open in mid-August, look for it to cushion things with a “soft opening” in the next few days. The pressing question: when does that bubble machine come out?
The signs have been up for some time for Eastern Fusion Sushi and Bar, in the China View complex, and a pass by today saw what looked like staff training going on. The other newcomer is Iki Korean restaurant, on the east side of the complex.
And The Loop Kitchen and Wine is now open and recently held its first event — not surprisingly, a wine tasting.
And fans of gin will be happy with some new items The Loop is stocking…
