Okay, maybe not tears, but word is rain accumulated on the roof at Heaven Supermarket and did enough damage that this treasure trove of beer just west of Nearby the Tree is closed. I stopped by earlier this afternoon and found no one who could confirm this story, only a bright multicolored tarp that serves as strong evidence, or perhaps an artistic statement on the part of the owners. Anyway, I assume Heaven Supermarket will be back in business soon given its popularity with a diverse crowd, due to its location, it low prices and its impressive range of brews.
In Australia we dont have beer supermarkets, we have ‘offys’ which is short for off licenses- many are drive thru as typical purchases require direct loading into the boot (trunk) by multiple staff members- MAybe have a quiet word about a re brand Boyce-

I walked by just after it happened while the fire trucks and police were still there. They entire facade of the building fell off. It was dark inside so it didn’t seem like the roof collapsed and the beer in the windows was this standing so I don’t know how much damage was done inside, but the outside was definitely jacked.
