Sips & bites this weekend: Free snacks at Brussels, Sunday brunch at LPG & Room Beijing

A few items for those not going to the AusCham ball tonight / still able to stand tomorrow…

New restaurant and bar Brussels has free snacks, including mussels, tonight from 8 PM to 10 PM. The beer deal: choose any three Belgian beers from the thirteen on the rmb40 list for rmb100 — or seven for rmb200. Check out my write-ups on Brussels here and here.

Le Petit Gourmand has shifted its brunch to a rmb98 package that includes eggs, sausage, bacon, croissant, ratatouille, and more, plus a coffee or juice. The best part: for those seeking an early start, this one goes from 9 AM to 3 PM. By the way, I stopped in last night and a new wine list is in the works and the place had live music — a French jazz quartet called Hot Club. Anyway, more brunch details soon: I wrote them down last night and then left the notes in my other laptop bag when I left home today. (Argh.) [Update: LPG has since sent me the breakfast photo above, which shows the eggs, bacon, pain perdu and more.]

Speaking of brunch, Room Beijing has what looks like a super Sunday deal with six courses for rmb288 and Champagne at rmb300 per bottle. Diners can choose from two of six appetizers (including avocado tuna tartar and Waldorf salad), two of six mains (including braised pork belly and Australian beef burger) and two of six desserts (including passion fruit pavola and ice pineapple / mango ravioli with coconut soup and Sichuan pepper ice cream). Sounds like a good spot to take a few friends and order everything on  the menu.
