Since we featured Britain’s second-most famous spy - James Bond - in Celebrity Pub Crawl IV, let’s wrap up our final week with that nation’s premier agent of espionage - Austin Powers. Made your Beijing bar recommendations for this free-wheeling and flamboyant playboy, and you’ll be entered into the weekly draw for:

- A package of four books - Insider’s Guide to Beijing 2008, Mandarin Phrasebook, Healthy Chinese Cuisine: A Restaurant Ordering Guide, and Spicy Chinese Cuisine: A Restaurant Ordering Guide - from Immersion Guides.

- A bottle of Grace Vineyard Tasya’s Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from Torres.

    I suppose I’m not eligible this week, but….. just to get the ball rolling…..

    I think Alfa might be most his scene - if they can turn back the clock to the 1980s, I don’t see why they can’t regress another couple of decades to try to make him feel at home.

    I suspect he’d rather enjoy Treasure Island as well.

    I never thought of Treasure Island: that place is perfect. My other choice would be Zeta bar in the Hilton - I can see him swinging in one of those big gilded bird cages….

    Austin Powers, international man of mystery!!! Where else would this living legend belong if not Treasure Island ? Of course that would be the place where we finish off the night. We’d start at Suzie Wong’s then head over to the number 8 bath-house for a full body wax. From there, hit Maggie’s and just be thrown to the next spot which i mentioned earlier :)

    I was gonna suggest alfa as well, but just to throw something new in, I could picture him very well in the old China Doll - not as bar-goer but as part of that video installation of semiclad people, where he’ll do his best to hide the family jewels.

    I’m going to have to make a suggestion for Zeta. I think Mr. Powers would find the retro style and colours, blingy stuff and not least the plush carpets quite smashing - and the hotel suits conveniently close. They used to have 007-events, I think it’s time to upgrave to Austin Powers… Or a friday night mini skirt party? Yeah, baby, yeah.
