Maggies: New digs ready to open

Ranking among the city’s more famous / infamous establishments, Maggies began renovations and an expansion last last year that left only its back end open. According to several Maggies employees, the bar will fully open by Thursday at the latest. Throughout the changes, Maggie’s has continued to crank out its popular hot dogs near the entrance. (It’s the mustard - fried shallot combination that makes them good.)

Actually, as a mustard fan myself, I was a little dismayed to notice on my last visit to Maggie’s (er… I mean the hot dog stand) that the mustard has been changed! I asked about it, and sure enough they have switched brands. I say bring back the old Maggie’s mustard!

    Cam,

Did they have a reason for changing the mustard?

I like the fried shallots and the light onion taste - they get that by boiling the dogs in water with onion slices.

    Cheers, Boyce
