Delay of Game: CSL’s Hockey Morning in Beijing postponed one week
Attention hockey fans,
Word has it that Cafe St. Laurent’s Hockey Morning in Beijing (see here) is postponed a week and will thus start on December 9, rather than December 2. Maybe the zamboni broke down or the staff at CSL overdid it with double-doubles of Tim Horton’s coffee, I really don’t know. But I’ll provide a further update on Hockey Morning in Beijing next week.

Attention non-Hockey fans, (Yes, BB, there are some cretins in the world who don’t follow NHL…)
CSL is advertising thet they will continue their brunches Saturday and Sunday, as well as lunch Mon-Fri. I guess I could have asked the staff to confirm this, but it seemed pretty obvious that the hockey fans will be consigned to the back room, where they will be without sunlight….
I can report that CSL’s brunch is as wonderful as ever. Three eggs benedict among three diners, and all reporting theirs was the best yet. That was washed down with freshly squeezed juices and big creamy cappuciyet to be blocked by the nos. On a winter’s morning, with the sun yet to be blocked by the building to the south until around 12, it was a pleasant way to ease into Sunday.
@ 8 Songs,
Indeed, the hockey fans shall be in Alfa proper, which has a bit of an arena, or at least a dressing room, feel to it on a Sunday morning. Let’s hope any ensuing fisticuffs over whose team is better do not spill into Cafe St Laurent… There’s nothing worse than slap-shotted eggs benedict.
Cheers, Boyce
