Fuli and 5:19?
Word has it former 5:19 Bar & Grill owner Dave McCullough is preparing to open a new bar in the Fulicheng area, citing the lack of drinking holes in that environs. Before opening 5:19 on Super Bar Street, Dave ran Artifacts near Chaoyang Park’s West Gate. For some back and forth on the merits and demirits of opening in this area, see here.

I like dave but I think he has trouble with his locations. Artifacts: just out of the Chaoyang West loop and hidden above a dry cleaners. 5:19: ’super bar street’- say no more. And now Fulicheng: seems to be trying to deliver a ‘local’ bar in a city where ‘local’ bars don’t work.
Good luck to him, but given the nature of the Beijing bar scene, Dave seems to be on a hiding to nothing.
