Just in: The winner is The Rickshaw
The spot that used to hold Midnight bar and Grappa restaurant, and that is being taken over by Kris Ryan of Saddle and Cox fame, now has a name - The Rickshaw.
While the opening was planned for Friday, April 13, it’s now going to be delayed at least a week. The Rickshaw is aiming to offer fish bowl drinks, pizza by the slice, 4 AM breakfast, and more. For more on Kris and his bars, see this interview I did with him.

Does this mean they will offer 2 kuai rickshaw rides from this bar over to Saddle/Cox? I bet they could get some of those beggar kids to double as rickshaw pullers.

According to Kris, one of the owners of Cox / Saddle, a rickshaw embedded will be embedded into building much as Hard Rock Cafe has a car. Not sure if they’ll be taking it down for occasional rides, but it’d be a great way to get people to order food to go…
